FASHION DRAPING

BASIC: (8 SESSIONS)
– Draping course presentation, history & use of fashion technique
– Tools & fabric for draping
– Study and measurements of dress form and human figure – lines marking
– Study of fabric structure : straight line and bias
– Fabric placement on dress form
– Pinning of fabric and fabric marking
– Study & exercise the use of muslin on dress form

Note:
Duration – 2 months (only Sunday)
2 hours sessions – 8 sessions
Fee for the complete course: 15,000/- Indian rupees

INTERMEDIATE: (8 SESSIONS)
– Study & exercise on the various transformation
– Study & exercise of simple and complex draping
– Study & exercise of various apparel lines and structures
– Study & research for preparation of one’s own sketch
– Realization of the sketch through draping technique with muslin
– Transfer of muslin drape to paper pattern
– Final realization of the sketch in fabric

ADVANCED: (8 SESSIONS)
– Drape of men’s dress 1
– Drape of men’s dress 2
